| Shinobi-san said: Does anybody think they developed The Witcher 2 with the current gen consoles in mind (360, and possibly PS3)? Some of the design decisions were odd and didnt really seem to fit the game...stages, closed off areas etc. Yet it didnt need to be this way. There wasnt really any need to load between different areas, or close off entire sections once you had moved past that point. I think from the information we have, we can say that the release of Orbis, and Durango will allow developers to create more open experiences. I think thats the reason why The Witcher 3 will be the way it is. Its a shame that the WiiU will probably get left out in this. I really didnt think that would be the case...but it seems sony and ms have created a big enough gap spec wise to alienate Ninty. I seriously hope we get a trailer or something :( Also, does anybody know if this will release before Cyberpunk 2077? |
Yes they did. After the bad experience with trying to port Witcher 1 they wanted to make sure that Witcher 2 will be ported and work well on consoles. Unfortunately PS3 didn't get the port thanks to the Cell being too difficult to write it on.
Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!
