That's sad. Even Nintendo give second chance and made Mole Kart 2.

Maybe they should join Nintendo. I'm sure they would love to work on the REAL Smash instead of working on a carbon copy worth 1/10th of the original. Lots of them would love getting handed characters from franchises that is actualy worth something. But when I give this a second thought, I don't see any reason why Nintendo would want them.

Are people still on that "it wasn't advertised" thing? Please. People act like TV advertisements are the only thing out there (and PSASBR's commercial coverage was pretty decent). The game got tons of press coverage from gaming websites, it had an E3 stage demo, it was shown off at every major gaming/fighting game event, an open demo, and it had Sony's biggest characters on the box which is a form of advertising in and of itself. The game also had kiosk demos at my local Best Buy, Target, and Gamestop.

Mediocre game. Mediocre sales. Nothing more, nothing less.

I still can't believe Snake isn't in the game, I wonder what the reasoning was behind that?

That really sucks for superbot. I hope they still pump out dlc.

Firstly, Sony seemed to be focussing on characters in recently released, or upcoming games.  DMC Dante from DMC, Heihachi from Tekken Tag 2/Street Fighter X Tekken, and Big Daddy promoting Bioshock Infinite.  I would guess that developers had a say in who to include (I believe Superbot said Capcom wanted DMC Dante as opposed to Dante Classic), and perhaps Konami thought Raiden would help build up hype for Rising.

Plus there also might be a legal issue in regards to Smash Bros.  Nintendo might have had something in a contract about that, or it might just be a matter of respect.  Kojima requested for Snake to be in Smash Bros, largely to please his son who was a big fan of the game.  I think Nintendo and Sakurai might be a little peeved if Snake wound up in PSASBR

Shame really.

I actually loved the combat in the game once I got used to it and stopped trying to play it or look at it like Smash Bros. It's very different from Smash Bros. That being said the game was just pathetic in terms of content and the roster was surprisingly weak. Good game but not worth full price. Should have been a $20 download on PSN.

Never nice to see a studio close down

New Dante is now 2 out of 2 in terms of bomba ratio.
