Whoever mentioned insane difficulty is correct. This is the Ninja Gaiden of cart racers, F-Zero GX reborn. If you want a more detailed response let me know

It certainly costs you some time to even master the controls...that goddamn boat behaves too much like a boat for its own good...

I actually compared it to F-Zero GX in my review for Consolexp.com.

Just how bad is the frame rate? It wasn't good to begin with on any of the more powerful systems.

Pezus' "it's like a slideshow" comment was an exaggeration, but along the right lines for describing it.  It's slows down heavily in certain points.

Like other people have said, it may have something to do with the way it's filmed though, we'll have to wait and see.

I gather the other versions also suffered with this issue but for example, this video of the Vita version:

Seems like it has at least 3x better framerate than 3DS.

That said, comparing the two videos side-by-side, the 3DS version does seem to have everything on screen that the Vita version has.  Less detailed, but still there.  Perhaps that's the cause of the framerate issues.

Can't see that video either, but I've played the Vita version and believe it's 30FPS w/drops, so 3x slower would be ridiculous :p

^ Thats the least of the problem.

1. 9 vs 1 mentality - Everybody aims for you regardless of place
2. pin point accuracy
3. overly aggressive AI
4. AI performs in ways stats should not allow * Ula la has Deus Ex mode*
5. AI shake off weapon hits easily. You dont
6. demented rubberband system - The AI the games choose to be tough gets insane AI if they fall to far behind* Tails went from 9 to 1st in round
7. Challenge rounds made hbeyound harder then they need to be.

On SEGA forums alot ppl quit because the time and frustration was not worth it. Your punished for playing.

Hopefully there will be a demo available on the eShop (like they promised!)

Perfect on PC, my boy!

When isn't that true? Didn't think it was worth mentioning.

Doesn't look too far off the PSvita version which also has frame rate issues.

It's not an exaggeration! It seriously looks like sub 10 FPS

However in the video recording of the 3DS version, the annotations said that the webcam recording was the reason for all the framerate issues you see in it.

I wish I could see the video. Honestly, I could almost see the Vita version being straight ported over with a lower resolution and more jaggies. I compared the console version to the Vita one and the difference was pretty large. Polygon count was cut down, no shadows, and the water effects were watered down a great deal(pun intended).

YEah, I was playing demo and all of the console effects have been removed. It essentially looked like a high res ps2 game.

Can you compare it to mirror mode in mario kart (wii)? I remeber that beeing pure hell going through to get stars on every single race! In other words, do the al cheat as much?
