Forums - Gaming - FW Sales, Results In: Sly Cooper(PSV/PS3) [117k] and Fire Emblem [200k]!

How Much Did Fire Emblem Really Get (With Digital)?

Definetly around 250k 25 69.44%

Around 300k 7 19.44%

Way over 300k! 4 11.11%

Total:36

Well good for Fire Emblem, I say. Though both were niche, the better game won.

And this is your 6th thread about Fire Emblem (I must have missed it before), so good job

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

TBH like i told alot of other people, Including Digital sales this game sold over 300k! So many downloads is 1 proof of this!

I'm a fan of both franchises. I'm disappointed that they didn't sell equally well. :/

Digital sales of Fire Emblem are crazy! Could be between 25-40% of the total sales. This (along with New Leaf) shows how big digital distribution on the 3DS really is. Maybe those supply restrains were artificial to push people towards a download...

exactly, my guess fire emblem sold way more than your percentage! I think it sold around 120k-150k digital sales! The demand was high, lots of downloads, its #9 in the Eshop of NoA! Yea its a very good estimate!

How could Sly even compete with Fire Emblem?

With sales. They are both niche IP's but Sly

- was not supply constrained

- is cheaper/same price for two games

- better graphix

- more accessible

- way more potential customers

It's not our fault that Sony people don't buy first party^^

You misunderstood me. I consider Fire Emblem Awakening was one of my favorite game last year. Therefore I don't expect a masterpiece like that to be whatsoever threatened by an average platformer. Fire Emblem totally deserves this win and I hope it sells much much more. I personally do tell French gamers how splendid it is so that it can achieve success in Europe too.

I think Fire Emblem will exceed opening weeks and life time sales.
