With sales. They are both niche IP's but Sly

 

- was not supply constrained

- is cheaper/same price for two games

- better graphix

- more accessible

- way more potential customers

 

It's not our fault that Sony people don't buy first party^^

Well ryu we know it's a big Nintendo game; however ths ps3 + vita user base is close to 80 million roughly 50 million more than 3ds, I don't see how that's fair. Also as with me I downloaded it to my 3ds, how many others will do the same and are they tracked digitally?

i dont think so, the sales say 169k but i believe there way over 250k cuz of digital imo

still got to wait for Europe #s, but yea FE pretty much won, the digital isnt included and that should be over 100k

It will not be even a competition. I predict Fire Emblem will outsell Sly Cooper by 2:1.

If FE is nowhere near as popular, then how did it manage to outsell it?  ;)

I've said before, it was pretty much anybodys game with this one saleswise and criticwise because Fire Emblem took a lot of new chances and Sly Cooper was under a studio that's never made an actual platformer game (unless you count porting). I was hoping both games would be successes because I'm a big Sly Cooper fan and my bf is a big Fire Emblem fan. 

And 30 million is hardly a crutch for a console. Install bases isn't really relevant unless it's something that has sold less than 10 million. That's where we can take the crutches off of a console and compare it respectively. The biggest exclusive on the 3DS is already almost where the PS3's highest selling exclusive is saleswise.



true true! Well I meant FE wasn't as popular as b4 but now its coming out of its shell, Sly cooper I thought more people would buy especially since on two different systems and $40 price! Oh well, like i said b4 FE is way over 250k though, digital its at the #11 spot in the US in just under 2 weeks!

They are tracked internally, good luck seeing them release the numbers though. I bought Sly digitally, and know three friends who did the same. It's getting to the point where low retail sales don't mean a game sold poorly.
