There are these things called inherited traits. They make us all different. Not all of us have the same colored eye's, not all of us are as smart as one another, not all of us are tall, etc. This doesn't mean that someone who is different than you is bad though. That's where Racism gets it wrong.

ok let it put it this way, everybody is born equal its the actions of a person that decides what he/she that detrmine his/her "worth" |
Really? Would you go into a horse race and say "you know, if these horses had the same chances they'd all reach the finish line at the same time"?
Humans are equal in kantian terms at most... they all share rationality. However it's not hard to see that's far from the only thing dictating who we are going to be and how much value will be placed in us. There is always going to be able to do something without breaking a sweat that you will not be able to do in your entire life, no matter how hard do you try, no matter how hard you wish.
However... this fact or the existence of races does not mean there is such thing as superior or inferior, or more evolved and less evolved. Every single creature, all the way to the dumbest sea sponge, is a winner in evolutionary terms simply because it does exist.
Saying that black people generally runs faster than white people is not racist. Saying that black people are more likely to commit crimes than white people in the U.S. is not racism. Saying that you prefer black women over white ones is not even racist.
Saying that white/black people in general are stupid is racist. Racism is wrong because it gives all people of a certain race labels that they don't deserve. It hurts people.
Unlike color of hair, eyes, etc, your "race" actually does determine a bit about you. Or rather, your overall genetic makeup.
Averages for physical features differ among races. I wouldn't be surprised if mental differences existed as well (although I have no idea).

Expressed racism, even hate speech or incitement to violence, is OK. But people are free to judge you for it.
I don't think discrimination laws are a good idea because 'race' shouldn't be a special criterion that is protected. Instead, the state should provide equal access to public facilities to everyone without even mentioning race, and private businesses should be allowed to serve and hire who they want.
So unlike most liberals I don't think any of our laws should make reference to race either positive or negatively.
This should also be true for anything else (age, sexual orientation, nationality) except in the obvious cases where the distinction affects what they need (example: women are capable of reproducing) and then it should be limited to that need (so if a women is fit enough to serve for combat then she should be admitted).

just because people have different inherited traits does not mean they are not equal, your taking the word equal to literally. people are born equal means that they have the same right and shouldnt be discriminated against depends on their "inherited traits" no matter what race they are, how rich/poor there families are or what gender they are.

Hate speech laws are bullshit, but in no way should incitement to violence be tolerated.
I agree, though, that the best way to stop discrimination is to stop discriminating. Affirmative action is just HURR DURR ITS GUD WIN WE DUZ IT CUZ GUD ENTINCHINZ.

I said this in my first post to you,"(But I know what you are getting at.)"
I knew that you meant this. I just thought you weren't getting your answer across in the right form.
