Forums - Gaming - Video Games Are ‘A Bigger Problem Than Guns,’ Says Actual U.S. Senator

50 years ago it would be rock music that was the fault of violence.

ignore old people, they just don't like new things

I find it hilarious that the young generation always complains about the "the old generation" crazy beliefs (i.e. Rock music is devil music), yet when those young people grow older, they become just like their previous generation.

/ Sweeping generalization

hey there was a time when a six shooter settled all disputes.

ladies and gentlemen i give you the U.S senate

LOL what a load of BS!!!

Around the Network

To be honest, I don't think either are a problem.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

People may say there is no scientific proof but the facts are that the gun crimes committed by younger males are known to be the type that are stuck in their bedrooms playing violent video games. It is NOT healthy to overplay violent video games when your mind is so impressionable. You can't beat going out with friends as to sitting at home claiming socializing is playing Halo with 10 online people for weeks on end, 12 hours a day, that is just being anti-social.

"...the best way to prepare [to be a programmer] is to write programs, and to study great programs that other people have written. In my case, I went to the garbage cans at the Computer Science Center and fished out listings of their operating system." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

"Hey, Steve, just because you broke into Xerox's house before I did and took the TV doesn't mean I can't go in later and take the stereo." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

Bill Gates had Mac prototypes to work from, and he was known to be obsessed with trying to make Windows as good as SAND (Steve's Amazing New Device), as a Microsoft exec named it. It was the Mac that Microsoft took for its blueprint on how to make a GUI.

""Windows [n.] - A thirty-two bit extension and GUI shell to a sixteen bit patch to an eight bit operating system originally coded for a four bit microprocessor and sold by a two-bit company that can't stand one bit of competition.""

So maybe its the type of people they are to begin with? You know like crazy people do crazy shit! If it wasn't video games it would be something else. Be it movies, music, even literature. I'm only 33 and I remember as a kid gangsta rap, mortal kombat, and Maryln Manson were going to be the doom of us all. Its just people making more excuses for the crazy shits that commit these crimes.

"Lamar Alexander says guns don't kill people, video games do."

So that's what we've been doing wrong all this time, better start giving our armed forces copies of Halo 4 then.
