But seriously, these Government figures need to face the facts. They need to stop putting this crap on other factors that have pretty much nothing to do with the main problem.

Seriously though, as a Swede I dunno. Maybe it's one of those, "everybody is" exceptions.

Actually, the senator is right because guns are not a problem.

We don't have a gun problem in the USA, we have a culture problem. When a kid shoots up a school the media gets it wrong blames the gun, but when a kid hangs himself the media gets it right and blames the bully.

I believe that kids should be allowed to be kids. Adult content should be kept from them by their parents, that includes videos games like GTA.Schools should strictly enforce a no tolerance policy with bullying.

I don't believe that video games turn people into killers, but don't believe kids have a right to play what ever they want. Parents hold the power to dictate what their kids watch, read, play and they have the responsibility to educate themselves about the content entertainment they allow their kids to consume.

Schools have the power to investigate and punish bullies and they have the responsibility to protect kids from bullies.

Instead of asking why a kid used a gun to murder with, the nation should ask why the kid was driven or pushed to madness. Instead of futilely demanding guns be taken from good people, the nation should demand tolorance from all toward all. Instead of blaming video games for violence parents should blame themselves for giving their 10 year old a game with crime for a title and a clear warning on the front and back.

But, most of all instead of freaking out every-time video games are part of a national discussion gamers need to take a chill pill and realize that nobody is planing to outlaw games. The only suggestion anyone ever makes is that kids shouldn't have access to adult materials.

He should just retire and live on his ranch for the rest of his days, it's obvious his days as a politician are over when he don't understand the direction the world is headed.

Hah! Cinema and expressionist mute films with satire? Nah.

Comic books then? No, hardly.

Rock & Roll music for sure! No, false alarm.

Aha! Damn those video games! They're to blame, clear as day. Who could possibly be daft and blind enough to blame gun ownership, social unrest, shoddy economy, inequality, religious strife, turf wars and poor living conditions, unemployment rates, racial motives and psychology when the answer was solely and obviously video games all along.

Don't forget about Rap Music and Cartoons. Those got blamed too.

Oh and gun ownership doesn't cause violence. Criminals pulling triggers causes violence. Last time I checked the gun in my safe at home doesn't pull its own trigger. I'm also pretty sure it doesn't sneak out at night and rob liquor stores.

As for violent video games and all other adult media. Kids should not be exposed to it. Kids should get to be kids and they don't need to grow up faster by playing games about stealing cars, shooting hookers, and evading cops. They also shouldn't watch movies with sex and violence. Kids should watch Disney movies and play Mario and Zelda games.

The only problem I have with a law that bans stores from selling M-Rated games to kids is that other media doesn't get the same treatment. I'd support a law that bans all mature content from kids without parent consent. Guns on the other hand, as soon as kids is old enough to take hunter's safety class all kids should learn gun safety and proper use. There would be a lot less misconceptions about guns if people took a gun safety class to learn the basics.
