It rather does reinforce the "no-one dies in One Piece" (except Ace) thing. He was one of the few to have died on-screen.

Another fun twist on that was everyone hit by that super-gas on Punk Hazard, who were just mineral-coated and not killed.

Next we'll find out Monet isn't dead (although that would be neat. She had untapped potential).

My my my, seems we're up for a crossover with Dragonball and Toriko in the anime. Not sure, but i think its the episode that just landed an hour ago

Funimation's the one that's been doing the subs such that the episode appears automatically subbed the minute the Japanese broadcast ends. Funimation doesn't seem to want to do the specials, as i recall this happening the first time One Piece and Toriko crossed (which was Toriko's episode 0) back in April 2011. I actually watched it live in Japan when they did the second crossover last year.

Likely the group that subs Toriko will tackle it, since it takes the place of Toriko's episode 100, i think.

:) this arc will be epic. we have burgess, an admiral, cp0, law's plan, the fairy?, the colosseum, mera mera no mi, and the doflamingo family....... *-*
