I can't believe I didn't think of this before!  What if Sony/MS had their reveal/advertised the event where they showed their new console so everyone would watch.  It would be the get their new console out to the biggest market possible.  What do you guys think of this?

Yeah, it's like half a million dollars for a 30 second advertisement. To MS, that isn't much though.

what a weird commercial reminds me of the PS2 one with the duck a little.  Anywho I'm not saying full specs and everything guys but a teaser kinda like that.  And maybe give the date for your reveal press conference.  Maybe show the form of the console at the end in some spectacular fashion.

Bad idea. Still a ways to go until new consoles presumably come out this holiday. I'd say advertise your current gen during the super bowl to up sales.
