 It's not that I hate open world games (though admittedly I don't love them), it's just this one really didn't do much right in terms of open world play.  The environment is beyond terrible, you're going from point to point anyways, there's almost no interaction, the collision detection is awful (and I didn't originally mention that because I thought it was me being too nitpicky/crazy), I haven't really enjoyed the mini games I've played, and it just distracts from the really good parts about the game.

I would say it's still too early for a rating. If I had to guess I would probably say high 7's to low 8'sbut for right now I should just go with "I'm having fun with it and the action parts are worth the suffering of the open world parts."

 Pst...I was only talking about first impressions.  Of course it's not too early for someone that has played more than a few hours of the game to give a full review.

 Did you not see the part where I compared the graphics in the cityscape to Cruis'n?  That should be enough for you.

Meh, I think you are overly harsh on the minigame stuff, especially when you can clear the game without spending much time on it at all. I agree the overworld sucks, but it's such a small part of the game.

 He compared the graphics to cruis'n. If that isn't enough for you then you really need to learn that not all Wii games are automatically bad.

i enjoyed the game too.. but I am not buying another Wii.. I refuse.

I hope the rest of the posters that were so ready to tell me different back then remember the thread too. If not, I'd like to remind them.

So in sum... told ya so.

 Only a hardcore gamer such as yourself would be able to tell this from a video. Of course I knew better, but your HCoreness is not know to all. I'm glad you told 'em so just the same.

Sounds like the game is pretty good. If I find when I rent it that I can look past its overworld because the rest of it is really good, then I'll pick it up.
