Oh yeah, there is a grade here for sure. Just not necessarily reflective of the final product. Tonally I think there are a few different directions the series has gone in. I would say Ocarina, Majoras Mask, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword would each have quite a different look. Majora would be quiet garish and surreal, Twilight Princcess very moody and sepia etc I'm very curious to see where they pull most from, also in terms of story

Given Zelda's costume, which I find very bland, I'd say BotW/TotK era - not really thrilled with that either, but color should be quite vibrant at least.

Again I wouldn't put too much focus on these stills other than this is what the cast look like in costume. These kinda shots are very typical for film production literally in the middle of shooting but they release some promo pics to say look, its real and to be used in all future articles etc.

Below is Harry Potter promo pics vs the scene in the actual film

Sure, we'll wait and see. But given her very bland costume (as opposed to Zelda's outfits in actual games) and my ~25 years in industry, I have my reservations.

We got LEGO sign!

There's a new Legend of Zelda LEGO set on the horizon. It's the *SPOILER ALERT* final battle from Ocarina of Time. It retails for $129.99 and ships March 1, 2026. Check it out below:

Some details:

  • Comprised of 1,003 pieces
  • At the push of a button, the ruins erupt as the lid mechanic bursts open and Ganondorf rises from the debris, ready for battle.
  • Builders can also display iconic items from the game, including the Master Sword, Hylian Shield, Megaton Hammer, and Zelda’s power, represented by waves of light.
  • The set includes three LEGO minifigures: Link, Princess Zelda, and Ganondorf, along with a large Ganon figure and Navi

Happy 40th anniversary, The Legend of Zelda!

Forty years ago today, the first game in the series launched with the Famicom Disk System.

Gyula Pados, the DP on the upcoming live-action Legend of Zelda movie, posted a couple images on Instagram to celebrate, ostensibly, the recent completion of principal photography. The post has since been deleted, but Wario64 managed to snag some screenshots:

A bit late to the party, but I ran across this:

If I live to that age, I hope to still have the spark she has in hers.

We have some new sales figures for the Switch Zelda games, as of March 31, 2026:

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild — 33.84 million (+.20 million)
  • The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom — 22.56 million (+.16 million)

I am betting on a huge design change of the Ocarina remake to make it look similar to the live action

We reap what we sow

Happy 3rd birthday, Tears of the Kingdom! Hard to believe three years have passed already:

Hopefully we’ll get the next big “AAA” Zelda no later than 2028.
