BotW for me is one of the worst good Zelda games and one that absolutely did not meet my expectations. I would rate it 8/10 and put it behind OOT, Link's Awakening, A Link to the Past, Majoras Mask, Twilight Princess, Ancient Stone Tablets, BS Zelda Map 1/2, Wind Waker and A Link between Words but before Oracle of Ages / Seasons and the NES / DS / GBA games.

So much potential s wasted due to the lack of a real story and a real soundtrack, limited tools and dungeon variety and missing heart pieces, small hearts, hookshot and flask collection.

The way you described it, it makes the game like a 6-7/10 instead of an 8. Worst...good, huh?

Substantially so. This is everything Nintendo's software has been lacking for years; ambitious, forward thinking, embracing of what the modern gaming mainstream wants... Hopefully this trend continues with the Switch, and we see more epic amibitious experiences and less of the play-it-safe stuff we got on Wii U. Mario Odyssey already looks lightyears ahead of 3D World.

Only in ambition, gameplay remains to be seen, don't be superficial.

Also about those things you name forward thinking and embracing modern mainstream gaming is something they did very well with splatoon already.

When it comes to mainline Mario's gameplay, I think even in his so-called B game, Mario is still head and shoulders above other platformers. Maybe not in ambition, but in execution and fun. Though I guess it's kinda irrelevant nowadays due to lack of 3D platformers. Nevertheless I wouldn't be too worried about Mario since he's still the golden boy of Nintendo and his mainline series has rarely (if ever) gone below being a "good" game.

I know but 3DWorld was really good gameplay wise, this Mario looks really good too but I'm worried is too much like Mario 64, that game was great back in the day but nowadays I find it just boring. I hope they know how to make a good balance between the fun gameplay of 3DWorld and the ambition of Mario 64.

It's not superficial to want interesting levels with room for discovery.

I was watching the BotW trailers this past Easter with my nephew...
and there are a few things I didn't see yet in the game. Have you guys found them?

First was this mini-boss: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rPxiXXxftE&t=17
But now that I think about it, it looks like a Stalnox, which I did fight one (can't remeber where)

What about this full plate armour? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rPxiXXxftE&t=136
Is that in the game?

And where is this bridge? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zw47_q9wbBE&t=71

1.) Yeah, that's a Stalnox.

2.) The plate armor is sold in Hateno Village.

3.) The bridge is in the far east part of the map with the islands named after Tingle and his brothers.

The first is a Stalnox

That's the Hyrule Soldier's Armor, dyed white I think?

There'sa few bridges like that one.  I think that specific one is at the Tingle Isles.

Thanks for the clarifications! I now know where I'm going next month when I get my Switch back

I just noticed the swirl waterfront shoreline at the bridge's shot; been there, just need to go further south
