The Master System one? There is no Green Hill Zone in the genesis version of Sonic 2.

Classic gens:

- Final Fantasy 4 (The battle themes alone puts this up in my list)
- Secret of Mana (wonderful, ambient sountracks to match desert/snow/purelands. Too many to mention)
- Megaman 3 (I like Megaman 2 as well, but I find myself humming the Megaman 3 tunes more)
- Super Mario Bros 3.
- Final Fantasy 6 (what can I say? Wonderful orchestral composition all round)
- Chrono Trigger
- Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest (the game feels a bit simple after so many years of strategic RPGs, but the soundtrack for this should not be underestimated)
- Sonic 3 & Knuckles
- Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow
- Kirby Super Star
