There was an attempt to renew the KI licence recently by MS but it failed because the name is now held by a failed Crime Drama show in the US http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0460643/?ref_=fn_al_tt_3 but even outside of that just because this one person now works at Sony all the IP's belonging to Rare are still firmly under Microsofts wing. I'm sure he might do a few good things for Sony in Europe but really unless they decide to reopen Psygnosis and hand it to him to do as he pleases then he'll just be overlooking other projects and making sure they get properly handled when it comes to their releases.
