The market is becoming a duopoly as the trend is for android/apple to take larger and larger chunks of market share. Windows phone isn't even listed now, as it's too low to mention.
Doomed? I was being silly, but it's starting to look bad for WinPho.

It sure looks like it, but it could also be just a temporary effect.
In Europe's most important market for example, while Windows Phone market share dropped during 2012, RIM actually gained. And RIM gained even more than Windows Phone dropped, so Windows Phone and RIM's combined market share actually even increased.
Windows phone is actually doing well. In Q4 last year 2.75m WP's were sold, and in Q4 this year over 11m were sold. That means its up over 400% YOY.
The real reason for the rise of Android and iOS's combined marketshare is the death of Symbian and Blackberry.








My prediction threads:
Wii U will sell under 40m units (made on 14th September 2012)
PS Vita will sell under 20m units (made on 30th September 2012)
Wii U will sell under 7m in 2013 - I was right
