Sounds awesome. I Platinumed KZ3 and its one of my favorite FPS this gen.

If this game is even close to as good as Killzone 3 was then I'll be plenty happy

I really enjoyed KZ 3 and the graphics were soooo good. If Killzone Mercenaries truly does look similar to Killzone 3 then I seriously can't wait to see what games will look like 2-3 years down the line.

So we don't know when this game is releasing yet, but they already had a decent amount of work ready to showcase at last E3. Nihilistic made that Call of Duty game in 5 months. It's been 7 months since E3, add some for making what they had and some more until release and they will have been making this game for over a year plus, easy. That much development by a team like Guerrilla and we are in for some fun.

back in feb 2011 when sony announced the vita they said that there will be a call of duty, uncharted, resistance and killzone, i really doubt that they would give just a year for sony cambridge to make the game when they knew 2 years ago they would be making it. this game would have atleast been in development for atleast 2 years by the time its released, considering that sony bend had 2 years to develop uncharted GA

dont get your hopes up about it being as good looking as KZ3, that game pretty much taps out the PS3, no way will a vita tittle look as good as that. btw we already seen some footage in the announce trailer

Still have to play KZ2 and KZ3.  The original Killzone for PS2, kept me away from the PS3 games

There is also an article about Tearaway inside the Polish magazine.  At least for me, the most interesting game for Vita.

Tearaway looks just awesome and Killzone seems like it might be the first quality FPS on Vita.

I just hope these 3 big games make an impact when it comes both to SW and HW sales. If these 3 games and a price-cut won't save Vita, I don't know what can... Probably a GTA + GoW for holidays would be the only thing that would be left for the system.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

It's too late! My hopes are already up, and this gameplay footage looks really good considering the game isn't finished yet. I know it probably won't look identical to KZ 3 but even if it's 50% of what KZ 3 was graphically then I will still be impressed.

Well yeah, that's why I said at least one year plus some. We don't know how soon they started developing it or how long till it releases. It could be 2 years, though announcing a game doesn't mean development has started. Given what they have shown off at E3, KZ Merc is possibly past the 1 year development time already. Depends how long it took them to make that scene at E3.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Itll be interesting to see how good this title is lol Let me put it this way, Killzone 2 is the game that got me to buy the PS3. it would be kind of funny if Mercenary was the game that got me to buy the Vita lol I mean i know ill buy it eventually. It just depends on what game will push me to buy it.

I think that after Resistance and CoD Sony decided not to put any kind of time pressure on them. I mean, at this point the next FPS finally has to be a good one. Delaying it for even 3 months will hurt the Vita less than KZ becoming another game that every gamer launghs at.

Nihilistic was strange...Sony needed some games and they have way more insight about the development of titles than we do. Chances are the Vita SKU's didn't get to devs early enough, or they were too busy making other games, or they hit a bottleneck early on in Vita development and had to troubleshoot it loosing some valuable time. Resistance probably had a decent development time, but it is Nihilistic, and Sony really wanted that game out. Then Nihilistic started working for Activision.... They probably used plenty of Resistance assets to churn out that game in 5 months. If they had a few more months that could have produced a possible gem, something better than their Resistance. Activision really only wants to release around the holidays, if only they were able to time Resistance this holiday, then Call of Duty next holiday or added a second dev team and had them work on both games for holiday release the moment they started developing Resistance. But you know, crap.

I wonder after Vita started to show sales trouble what games Sony started development on that are slated for 2014.
