I'll wait for a price drop to $250 for the 500gb PS3s ($200 for 250gb) which will most likely come at E3 along with full PS4 details. That new model looks like it has cut back costs and they can probably afford a price drop by now.

i would certainly buy that, if i didnt hate the sliding disk cover. it feels so cheap and overall so does the system. i used to have one, gave it to my new gf.
does anyone like the super slim?
btw @cgi-quality, have u picked up any new special edition systems as of late?

I do and so do some others on here. I like the half inspired PS2 look while anything that gets ride of that matte finish on the slim is a win. The Slim looks like they didn't have time to come up with a design, just a complete boring matte box. The sliding tray is not bad at all, better than a flip top in a lot of ways. Durability, room to grab the disk, it keeps its profile, and works much better standing up than the PS2 slim does.

The biggest down side is the noise. The disk is significantly louder. While not an issue when playing a game, if you have a disk in when you start the PS3 it will pre read it even if you are just browsing the XMB. It is kind of annoying then and when it finally stops the room feels really quiet because its idle noise is practically nothing. I'm moving to more digital games so it shouldn't be an issue for much longer.



Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Do they ship each PS3 with PS+ now? They should, after people discover what its about they'll resubscribe for moar!

Didn't realize that picking new systems while selling old ones was a crime. Silly me.

I don't have a problem with it.  I didn't know what you did with them.  I was just curious if you kept them or what, but since you sell the other ones then it makes more sense.  Believe me if I could afford to buy the special edition consoles, I would without a doubt do the same thing.
