CGI i like the black one. i'm hoping for a price drop soon which i think we will see, but with the PS3's heavy hitters lineup coming. this is pure profit for Sony until they drop price.

I think they will drop price at E3.  It makes sense to get all your heavy hitters out the door and get the sales boosts from them (and last of us is going to be a big heavy hitter in May if the pre-orders are any indication) then do a price drop when that has dried and you give full details of your next console to keep the sales from tanking.  They have several big ones to get out the door that should give a small boost to sales and help maintain them.  I honestly think LoU and GTA5 could be the last system sellers this gen.  LoU is obviously a new IP and could get a lot of zombie fans interested in PS3 where they previously played L4D or Dead Island on Xbox (remember US is their weakest market and a strong zombie market even though I know they're not zombies).

I would like it even more if it was for the older Slim. (Don't like the new Slim's design.)

My phat ps3 is so old it's not worth trading up for a new, lesser console. It might be worth buying a 2nd ps3 when my oldest moves out for college. He can have the phat while I get the slim and a PS4; my oldest won't be moving out for 2 years.

I think it's a mistake to give a full year of PS+. They should be giving 3 months, maybe 6. You want people to try it, get used it, get enough value to want to continue having it, but at the same time you want to get their money soon.
