Well, that was quick. Gamestop has just put up the preorder page for the Wind Waker Wii U remake that was announced at Nintendo Direct a few days ago. It’s listed at full retail price, though that could just be a placeholder price. Many fans were hoping it wouldn’t be sold as a full game; hopefully, this means there’ll be some extra content included to make it worth the sixty bucks. It’s clearly already got a much different aesthetic feel to it’ maybe that’s a sign of more dungeons, sidequests, or other new content.

I'm definitely going to get the Wind Waker remake, but maybe not from Gamestop. Mainly because as far as I can tell from what Iwata said, or what he didn't say, was that there are going some extra or enhanced features about the game. I really hope this is a trend for Nintendo and it 'remakes' other well loved games for fans and new comers.

Can't blame them for selling it at full price, from what i've seen it looks like a new zelda game! graphics look amazing!

That is quite fast... I'm actually quite suspicious of this fast-ness.

Won't be pre-ordering yet. Animal Crossing New Leaf is more important, plus I don't have a Wii U yet.

I assume its also a business move by Gamestop, as if they can show that they've already received whatever many preorders for the game, it would go to show their relevance in the industry.

I'd expect it to be full-price. It looks completely different and they're supposed to be adding a load of stuff; so it makes no sense selling it for less.

I'll buy it but from Amazon. Lower prices on both new and used games, even though the price is the same at launch.

When I pre-ordered the original Wind Waker, I got a free copy of Ocarina of Time for the Gamedube. If Nintendo doesn't give us a free copy of Ocarina of Time for the Wii U, I say we riot!

Why? Every Zelda after OoT was the same, and Wind Waker HD has twice as good visuals as the original, so logically, by buying Wind Waker HD, you're getting the equivalent of a spare Ocarina of Time in addition to your Wind Waker.
