Great news for Wii U owners or potential owners, now they need a whole heap of 3rd party support and the Wii U will be looking good in 2013/2014

Honestly, all Nintendo has to do is releasing their titles and slowly leak more info on a few of these games until E3 to keep interest high.

I really liked the news about Miiverse! Search options; more forums about one game; incorporate video (maybe one day, record your own video and put it online?).
This thing will be Wii U`s "Xbox live".

Not only Nintendo confirmed what we were expecting, or knew already (still feels good), but it revealed something new and exciting: Wind Waker, SMTxFE and X. Just look at X`s thread and you will see people excited about it - i know i am!
It really takes you back to when Iwata said they were ready to invest in partnerships. Now we see he was right and we hope more are coming!

Above all, Nintendo showed that despite the game drought, games are coming... great games! :)

Games, games and more games

The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker is being remade for a Fall release on Wii U — Wind Waker HD had been a familiar cry from a number of Nintendo gamers before almost every Nintendo Direct, joined by requests for GameCube games on the Virtual Console. The latter still eludes us, but the iconic Zelda GameCube title is being re-mastered for release on Wii U this year; some gorgeous screenshots emphasize how good it'll look in HD, along with promises of GamePad optimisation and gameplay tweaks and improvements. A knock-out announcement.

This has made me soooooo happy! my favourite game ever made coming back in HD, remade glory. It was perfect before, this will be even more perfect!

I really liked this ND. Tons of great info. I still think that upgrades of wiivc to wiiu should be free, but $1 to $2 is reasonable if you consider them as upgrades. So like $20 will cover all I want to upgrade.

Can't wait for the two os upgrades. Of course this is promising for a solid E3 and that's not even including any 3rd party titles.

Considering what Iwata said about third parties, I think it's a good sign there will be quite a bit.  Granted, sales HAVE slowed down considerably after Christmas, but after this Direct, or at least until the games come, I expect the slump won't last long.

Can't wait for Windwaker. I always felt like an idiot for getting to Gannon and not beating it because I wanted all the little figurines in the trophy room. I never did get them all, maybe this time....

Wii U Virtual Console Trial Campaign and schedule unveiled — In addition to the arrival of the Virtual Console, it was revealed that a 30th Anniversary celebration for the release of the Famicon in Japan would take the form of some tempting, low price retro games. Launching right away with Balloon Fight, a new classic title from the NES or SNES will be released every month until July, available for 30 days at the rather tempting price of just 30 cents/30 pence. An early and cheap opportunity to sample the Virtual Console delights of the new system.

Holy shit, that's an extremely awesome feature.Imagine Super Metroid for 30ct o.O

Well, I'm not imagining, I'm playing Balloon Fight at the moment for 30 ct. And I will play Super Metroid and the others too. Funny enough, I even get points for the Nintendo Premium for it: 2 points.

Hehe, yeah I forgot to look at the link first. I'll definately get F-Zero and Super Metroid for 30ct. Shame we won't get Mother and Fire Emblem, though.
