This year I've resolved to not buy any new games so I can complete that pesky backlog of mine. Since this year I'll hopefully finish all the older games from gen 3-7 that I haven't gotten around to complete, I may as well find out what people love in case I missed a few gems.

So I was wondering what your favourite game(s) from gen 3-7 is.

Mine is Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii since every aspect of it catered to what I personally love in a game (beautiful environments, non-linear gameplay, epic story telling, amazing combat, brilliant OST, ridiculous amount of content, and that special nintendo polish)

Ok, so this is the kind of list that changes on a whim. One day I might feel like Mario or Sonic should be on the list and one day I might feel like Tomb Raider or Bioshock should be. It just depends on whats on my mind.

Honestly those shift around in my mind quite a lot, along with the five directly below them. Hell, God of War II was my number 2 back when I made my top 50 list two months ago, but I'm beginning to realise that was too high and it's now down in sixth.

Before people start about it, yes Mario Galaxy 2 is better than 1, but it didn't return the magic feel when playing Galaxy 1 for the first time.

4 and 5 change a LOT. 1,2 and 3 are pretty much locked though.
