So I just pre-ordered GoW Ascension collector's edition and it's my first ever special edition purchase

What were your guys' first special editions and your favorites?

um cant remember if it was half life 2 or world of warcraft but i remember i had to pay both with all my change from doing chores and i remember being really creepy and just smelling the wow collctors box over and over

I don't normally buy collector's editions but the first I bought was the Gears of War 3 Epic Edition and I have the God of War: Ascension collector's edition pre-ordered too, got that at the fantastic price of £61.40 on Amazon.co.uk.

FFXIII-2, With Soundtrack and box. for 80
Deus Ex, with useless things but nice box for 60.
And Command and Conquer: Red Alert for 20 dollars on sale :P.

my first special edition was the Helghast Killzone 3 edition with the trooper helment.

you guys are so lucky with the god of war one i want it but 180 seems tom much, 80 US in america is the best deal 20 dollars more for all that stuff plus a season pass

Never bought a special edition in my life and I'm proud of it.
Though I am jealous of the people that do have them, I like to think of it as increasing my resistance to temptation.
(It burns $$ too)

My first was Red Dead Repdemtion for 80 bucks and it's still my only one because I won't get another one unless it's for one of my favorite games or a game I know I'm gonna like.

The God of War: Ascension collectors edition is my first one I've ever got too. It's a great deal. I'm buying the TLOU survival edition too.

That seems like a lot, how much is the standard edition where you're from? If it's not much more then it might be worth it for you to go for the collector's edition, the pass for all future DLC alone will save you a fair bit of money, then you get a nice little statue and some other extras.

To be honest I was lucky to have ordered mine at the price It was, a few days later it went up to £75 and that's now the cheapest price in the UK, though that's still a good price considering all the extra goodies it includes and especially compared to what you'd have to pay! Hopefully you can find it for a reasonable price, keep searching as better deals come along often.
