Forums - Nintendo Discussion - "How I got banned from Miiverse" by d21lewis

Folks ... while it might be heavy handed, it let's parents have their children on there without worries.
That market is much larger than the angry gamer market.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

lol I saw this coming, in general.

Nintendo has a LOOOOOOOONG way to go to catch up to MS and Sony in terms of moderating people. Nintendo likes to keep things squeaky clean and friendly, so they will be up to their asses in moderation, nevermind when they enable headset chatting!

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I have a feeling that the guys at Nintendo can't handle the adult content themselves either :P

Haven't had a single run in with a moderator. But I can see that people who play a lot of Call of Duty might have trouble adjusting to behave to Nintendo's standards.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

this thread was awesome to read...

I responded: Menstruation jokes are not funny. Period lmao

Best comment ever haha

Sadly you didnt really seem to do anything wrong and it seems like a poor way of moderating. I havent used miiverse much but it sems to be flooded with drawings more than anything else from what ive seen.

Just another reason why people will play 3rd party else where.  no offense to nintendo but they really can't stop that kind of behavior.

Likewise for anyone who didn't grow up behind the Iron Curtain.

Well I did grow up behind the curtain so that would explain why I have no problems then.

The final straw.  a user by the name of angel posted "." (a picture of a dot)

It took Nintendo almost a month to find my post but when they did, they hit hard.  I woke up this morning to find that I was banned at about 9pm last night.  I was a dead man walking for a post I made on New Year's Day.

I can kind of understand this moderation though. When it comes to children being exposed to adult themed humor, Nintendo obviously don't want blood on their hands.
