Forums - Nintendo - Iwata Talks Nintendo Direct

How will it be different?

Maybe their focus will concern how Miiverse is no longer limited to a console but now on PC/Mobile devices, etc.

A terrible feeling inside of me is telling me that we will only hear more details from game we already know about like Pikmin3, Wii FitU and that panoramic app with a vague release date. With few announcements but not about what we want to hear about. I doubt we will see that AAA system seller game everyone have been waiting to hear about since E3 2011.

But what I RLY want to see, SSB, 3D Mario and Retro's game (Metroid Prime4). If we hear only 1 of these I'll be super happy, but I doubt that. I RLY hope I'm wrong tho.

O Ye of Little Faith.  US and Nintendo tweets do not show any hints, but the first one that broke was Eu's tweet which stated Mr. Iwata will reveal new games. The symantics alone suggests these are not games that are coming out, thus new, but already previously announced, hence reveal.  Nintendo also published their line up just so very recently so this ND must be of some importance.

Also of note is Iwata's tweet brought up services, so I really expect this to be State of the Wii U address.  With quarterly financials coming up, downward revisions to unit sales likely, this is their last official stage to prep investors and fans alike.  Pokemon Direct was one foot, this is the other foot that must drop.

In Nintendo We Trust.

So what your saying is, back in the Wii days Iwata was dropping the Megaton bombs, now he's dropping the megaton foot?

So you're saying he's fat.

I have a feeling that at least one game will be a remake. Though, don't know from which series.

Yay! I was right!
