never played a fire emblem before, curious is there a free play skirmish mode against a cpu that is not the campaign? Is there online play?

For Nintendo? Pretty good, on the whole? It's just okay. The example of the Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate video was awesome though, I'm hyped for both games but in very different ways.

According to this yes. But as far as I can tell it only local coop.

Plus you can get to recuit other people hero you come into conntact with on the Street Pass feature. You can either battle them or pay them a hugh bounty to join you. (This is the custom character you get to recruit.)

The commercial is good, but I REALLY wish they used better dialogue at the end.

I meant for Fire Emblem. The epicness of the cutscenes make the gameplay animations look worse even when it's actually pretty good. If they were going to show gameplay footage, they shoul've mentioned the "3DS game" part at the start.
