Are you ready for the next generation of gaming?

Yes. 107 71.33%

No. 43 28.67%

I already got the Wii U, but that's really only because I love Nintendo's first party software. If Nintendo would have spent two more years or so developing software for the Wii, I'd have been ok with that, although HD is nice.

As for the other consoles, it depends on what they're going to bring to the table. I'm not a huge fan of Sony or MS first party, and graphics alone aren't going to be enough, unless they improve a lot more than I expect. Unless we see another Wii like situation where third party games aren't coming out for the Wii U, I probably won't be buying the PS4 or 720 unless they do something incredibly surprising.

I'm so ready that I al-ready own one next gen console.
Wii U

I was born ready but i am not sure what that means. I don't buy consoles at launch though. So not ready and pretty happy with upcoming games this year. I am pretty sure they are not going to stop supporting 150 million people who have PS360 and they could even port those to Wii U.

Nope not even close. I hope new consoles don't come out until holiday 2014 personally. Haven't even finished AC3, dishonored, and borderlands 2 and more downloadables. I'm very happy with this generation as it currently sits and Ps3 alone has some great exclusives coming up. Even Gears on 360 looks great as well as multiplatform games coming like Bioshock, Gta and tomb raider.

This gen has been great so I don't need new things anytime soon

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

I'm honestly not, and I don't think there are enough new features to justify releasing a new generation yet. I don't buy them at launch though, so bring them on.

I am very ready for a PS4, but as long as it's powerful, I will not be buying a 2nd (or 3rd) console this Gen. Mostly because all the MS platform exclusives are boring FPS games, and I am done with that crap. Sony develops games about story, story driven games. That is what I want aside from the 99% of games that are multiplatform. The 720 also will not have any advantage of hardware to limit the PS3 from any voice chat options, so Live isn't worth it. Plus, I still am a PS+ member, and the value is way too good. And I don't get pressured from Sony to pay just to play online which is nice of them.

There is like 1% chance I buy a 720, and they have to "WOW" me. But it will come with a concentration of Kinect 2 (my guess) and they will skimp on hardware that Sony won't in order to remain at a low price point ($400-500). I don't want anything to do with these crappy fads like Move, Kinect, or WiiU as a whole. Give me a normal controller. That is how I like to play my console games.

But if Sony goes with the fad phase as well, I will be crushed and not sure what I would buy then... I don't want anyone to reinvent the wheel, like Nintendo is trying to do with every console. Can't we just settle.
