Damn. This is certainly different from the usual "We do not comment on rumors or speculation."

But not too many people will go back over, Yes Vita will sell alot of copies but not so much anymore. Most will get it on 3DS, only people who dont own or want a 3DS will wait, but w/o a released date the number of copies that would of been sold if Vita had a simultaneous release as the 3DS will go down significantly! Vita unless a completely new MH wont get close to the 3DS, Especially with the user base of the 3DS!

Double post from you, after I gave you 5pts in the user of the year contest.
Surprising AND disappointing, Conegamer.
If Monster Hunter 4 gets released for the Vita, I would prefer it to release around a year or more after the 3DS version, and for the game to be something like MH4G or whatever letter they will use.
However, there's no saying it will release for the Vita (since it seems like most people here seem to think it is very likely and I am not 100% sure).
Vita will get a port. But Capcom is not stupid. MH probably coulda have sold more on the DS, which had a 2:1 userbase to PSP in Japan.
This is not all gloom and doom for Sony. There is AM, FM, and XM radio, Vita is like ...VM...no matter how clear the signal, how many features in the VM radio, if you don't provide enough content, it's just a big paper weight.
Sony cannot afford the same console strategy of PS3 in a market that has only one competitor, the indisputed leader of handhelds. As much as it sucked that MSFT encroached on Playstation's turf, but the coopetition at least ensured the biggest piece of the pie was with them, not Nintendo. In that environment, having hardware that can keep up with MSFT, and light years ahead of Wii, was enough, 70 million units enough. Multiplatformers took care of sales and just some exclusives here and there to combat the lone Halo was enough.
Vita doesnt have a buddy that was throwing money at creating a common userbase for 3rd parties. So now you are more expensive, not getting a 2fer 1 marketing blitz effect vs Nintendo, and simply not any first party portable game franchise. Nintendo has Pokemon to toss out in times of trouble and uncertainty, Mario to the rescue, Mario Kart to ride on. I would love for Sony to invest in some franchises that are not Mario wanna be, Smashbro wanna bes.
"No plans at the moment."
So... the Vita will get MH4 in some form. OK.
