What after hours means... because I know just tomorrow the real  thing happen.

huh?

thats wrong.

hmmm.  revenue slipping, growth slowing which was inevitable I guess.  They need a cheaper device for emerging markets, thats where the real growth is.

They could offer their older iPhone models. Why don't they do that? Apple isn't exactly known to make cheap products so I don't think they'll make a cheaper phone anytime soon.

They do, but even the iPhone 4 is sold for $400 unsubsidized. The sweet spot in emerging markets is more like $100. Making a phone that cheap and providing software support for it threatens to hold back software development for the latest $650 flagship phone, tarnish Apple's image as a premium brand, and offers crap-ass margins, which is why I'm not convinced it's worth Apple's effort to pursue.

Might as well leave that market to the white box manufacturers who are happy to load their devices with Android 2.2 and sell at a 5% markup.

They practically hit their prediction right on. That Million drop in Macs is somewhat scary, but expected.

Apparently, the following products were all supply constrained this quarter:

iMac
iPad mini
iPhone 5
iPhone 4 (yes, really)

What the hell. I mean. Apple: 54 billion in revenue, 13 billion in profit on the quarter. Google: 14 billion in revenue, 2.89 billion in profit. Apple stock: 50 point hit in after hours trading. Google stock: 40 point gain on the day. Investors are not only crazy, they don't actually like companies to make money.

That being said, these prices are  becoming very tempting to me right now. I hope the market doesn't rebound until just before Apple announces something new and I'm brave enough to actually buy some shares.

Epic... better than anybody predicted.

Yeah, I don't see Apple doing cheap. There are plenty of cheap stuff around from Android and Windows alternatives.

Apple's pulling power is that it is not cheap. Anyone can have cheap.  Why be like everyone. Kinda weird but that's how it seems to work.

China is set to become Apples biggest market.

That's almost unbelivable... crazy because the sales could be even better.

On the subject of TVs, Apple TV sold over 2 million units this quarter. Not a lot, but up 60% YoY, so faster than any other Apple hardware category.

I don't really see what more could be gained from bolting that little hockey puck into a commodity display unless that display somehow enables you to do something transformative with television. Game consoles are already here and TV-based computing has been proven to suck time and again.

Not saying it's overvalued but the chart looks horrible. Apple just broke below it's long term bull trend in after hours.
