So the rumors of next gen consoles have been floating around the internet the past couple of days like crazy, what made things even worse is a Sony executive hinting at a new announcment

"That’s still a big secret, but our friends [in the gaming division] are preparing Sony PlayStation," said Sakamoto speaking with the Chilean-based website Emol. "I can only say that we are focused on the E3 gaming event, scheduled for June. [An] announcement may be [made at that time] or even earlier, in May."

Now everybodies mind jumped directly to a PS4 announcment but it might not be that, it could (and its a good possibility) that it is a NEW PS VITA MODEL. i mean why not? sales of the thing havent been great, so a new model with better battery, built in storage and a price cut is possibility. what do you guys think?

The PS4k announce will be made before E3 for a late 2013 release... the E3 is just to show all the features and games for the new console.

A new PSV model with built-in storage and a price cut could be a winner. It's games are still too expensive though...£50 for a handheld game is a joke.

i think they should do a 179$ wifi model with 4GB built in memory and a  220$  3G model with 16GB built in memory. and arent games on PSN like 40$? isnt every game cheaper online?

but do you think that the annoucement they hinted at could be PS vita related not PS4?

I think that announcement have nothing to do with PS Vita... it's PS4 focused... that's the only new hardware to be announced this year from Sony.

No I expect some price cut in Vita before E3 (GCD for example).

i would die for all that.

If any big Playstation platform announcement is happening before E3, it has to be PS4. At most Vita would just have new pricing type stuff.
