Honestly, I don't think this is great news. Yay for the DS if it passes the PS2, but Nintendo and the handheld market would be better served if those people were buying 3DS or Vitas.

I dont know about vita, but it seems people are buying 3Ds every week......

i think it won't. if it will decrease 50% this year ds will sell ~1.7m. last year was -61% so -50% would be optimistic.

seems a bit high. Sales will drop down really really low during the summer months.
also, don't expect holday sales to be as good this year.

I don't think its hurting 3DS sales too much especially in Japan where the DS is basically already dead.  Also the PSP is hurting the Vita more when it comes to sales compared to the DS hurting 3DS sales.

It's still good that these people are pushing the DS sales upward, sooner or later they'll get the 3DS.
