Wii U never had a good line-up for Japan. Too many western titles and too little japan oriented titles. Too bad DQ X missed launch.
Hope Nintendo really has prepared a steady flow of games for Wii U soon, because if it doesn`t, it seems that Wii U might suffer as 3DS did until that happen months later.

PS3 have more bunbled releases this year... so I think if each release sells at least 60k PS3 it can reach the 2012 numbers.

Famitsu has the 3DS at 105,112 sold, so it was over 100k there!

On the one hand, AT LAST GLORIOUS NUMBERS. Thanks Train Wreck for linking the whole thing.
On the flip side, just abysmal all round (apart from 3DS). And it's still only going to get worse, Vita will be sub 10k next week, Wii-U will be sub 20k. Deary deary me. At least Vita is up 4k from VGChartz's guess, although Wii-U is down 6k, so a real mixed bag.
Suppose it is that time of year though. We get some excitement and it's followed by some depressing weeks.
On the plus side, nice to see Yakuza, One Piece & Everybody's Golf still in the chart. And the Wii-U games sold 12k each, despite only 20k people buying consoles. Decent.

Many things have changed since then. Wii U being released, for one.
A newer survey would be interesting.

It had plenty of bundles last year as well and last year it was down YoY. There was the One Piece Musou special edition console, the Yakuza special edition console, the Fist of the North Star 2 special edition console. They also bundled Hot Shots Golf 6 for free in their holiday bundle. Plus they also released the new super slim model and it was still down YoY.
