o. I'm actually fuming because I preordered Pokémon Y. I need Mega Charizard X pronto. Brb crying.

I've read on GoNintendo.com that you get to choose in the game between picking up CharizarniteX or Y so your version won't matter. Idk if it is true tho, but for the case of Mewtwo, they clearly said that each version of Mega Mewtwo were exclusif to a game, meanwhile they did'nt for Charizard. It would also be a pain to make all three starters mega evolutions exclusif to games imo. So if true, the version of your game won't matter.

Personnaly I think Mega Charizard X is only a black charizard with ugly wings and fire coming out of his mouth that in game awfully looks like a mustache. I can't understand why it's so popular. Are ppl that hypnotised by the color black? Meanwhile Charizard Y has a cool aerodynamic look on his head/arms/wings. Also I prefer by far Drought that not only increase the power of fire attacks but also clears the sky (adding different advantages depending on the situation) over a ability that increase physical attacks. I prefer my charizard to have strong special fire attacks over strong physical ones.

Personnaly I don't care since I'm grabbing squirtle, can't wait to see Blastoise's alternate mega evolution (I sure hope Charizard is not the only one to have two megas or I will outrage).

Pokémon X & Y - New Pokémon

A new pamphlet has come out featuring two brand new Pokémon. These Pokémon are evolutions of Swirlix and Spritzee and are known in Japanese as Peroriimu (ペロリーム) the Whipped Cream Pokémon and Furefuran (フレフワン) the Perfume Pokémon, respectively. Like their pre-evolutions, they are pure Fairy-type. This is not 100% confirmed at this time, but has a good chance of being real. We'll bring more information as it comes. Out of respect for those who don't wish to be spoiled, we have hidden them in this Spoiler Tag

Pokémon X & Y - Download Pokémon

The official site has updated and given details on how to receive event Pokémon. This process runs similar to previous games with you selecting Mystery Gift and then selecting the appropriate option. However, the details have provided a new method of obtaining event Pokémon. In addition to Local Wireless, Nintendo Network Download and InfraRed, the game also lists a new method of downloading: Serial Codes. Presumably this will run akin to the Serial Codes on the Global Link within Generation V. You can also have up to 24 Wonder Cards before having to make room for a new event.

Events are also locked to the console & game's region, rather than the game's language so if you're playing a Japanese game in English, you will only receive Japanese events but Japanese games in English cannot receive North American events and vice versa. As a reminder, the Torchic event will be live online for all regions from October 12th to January 15th.

Pokémon X & Y - Bonuses

Ahead of the opening of the new Pokémon Global Link with the launch of Pokémon X & Y, they have announced a new feature of it. In Pokémon X & Y, you can earn Poké Miles within certain parts, currently unknown. PokéMiles are used in the PokéMileage Club in the PGL in order to pay to play attractions and receive items from the shop, which can then be sent back to X & Y. However, there is another way to earn them. It has been announced that your Dream Points will be converted to PokéMiles. These points are then sent to your new account if you register before January 14th 2014. If you register both games, then you will receive the points in each game so if you qualify for 500 PokéMiles, you'll get them in X and then get the same amount in Y. The conversion is as follows:

10,000–49,999 Dream Points = 500 PokéMiles

50,000–99,999 Dream Points = 3,000 PokéMiles

100,000–199,999 Dream Points = 10,000 PokéMiles

200,000 + Dream Points = 25,000 Poké Miles

The conversion is calculated by adding the Dream Points from all the games on your account. So if you have Black, White, Black 2 & White 2, they are all factored into the calculation. They also announced special Medals that are unlocked in the Pokémon Global Link if you also had Generation V games.

A Medal for Dream Points: 50,000, 100,000 or 200,000

A Medal for amount of purchased homes: 1, 4 or 8

A Medal for purchased items: 1, 25 or 50 items purchased

A Medal for purchased Pokémon Dolls: 1, 50 or 100 dolls purchased

A Medal for ranking in the top 100 in any GBU Season (except Season 10)

A Medal based on how many times you have ranked highly in WiFi Competitions

Reminder: The Gen V Global Link will close next week, with features closing graudally between then and January.
