Well, if it were exactly the same thing but with no gamepad, it would be cheaper as well. The answer would be "maybe." It really depends on what's offered. I really wanted the Wii U because I was intrigued by the idea.

That's just an impossible question though, isn't it? Without the GamePad it wouldn't be the Wii U, and as such Nintendo would've made something entirely different.

i think he ment it would have been a traditional console, or a more powerfull Wii that uses the same controllers but offers better graphics/social networking etc etc

it would probably be like the Gamecube if it didn't have the gamepad though(a system that i loved but didn't sell all that well WorldWide)

I believe the Wii U sales will pick up greatly when it gets back to their signature $249.99 price point

I would have waited cuz I could have just painted my Wii and pretended it was a Wii U. HD alone is just not something that makes me jump out of my seat when I have a PS3/X360 that's collecting dust. Just for HD, PC blows consoles away..just not even close.

Half the fun is anticipating what kind of gaming surprise this brings to gaming. I still kinda wish somebody brings a decent MMO to Wii U cuz I definitely can see how the gamepad could add so much fun.

Or it would be cheaper.
