owning a 360 only this gen, i really prefer the controller and really like the exclusives like halo, forza and gears but i really don't like paying for online and sony exclusives with the last of us coming are really starting to have the edge for me, so i guess it come down for me to which system has the better specs and i really hope the ps3 changes its controller nextgen i hear many gamers saying thats why they chose 360 in the us, anybody else feel this way about choosing the nextgen system with better specs.

I don't go for graphics, so even if the PS4 turns out to be some casual blu ray console or something, i'll still get it because i have spent so much money on PSN games/ PS3 games and such, and dedicated a huge amount of time for trophys, it doesn't mean i won't get the 720, i'm just always going to use a PS console as my main one

Plus trophys are far more satisfying then achievements

I honestly think that MS would have made Xbox Live free if Sony would have delivered a lot quicker with their online service

If PSN is up to par with Xbox Live from jump next gen.. then MS will eventually have to match their service if people start switching

Maybe the SteamBox will have a major influence on PSN and Xbox Live with those crazy ass deals. MS and Sony would have to match its service aswell if it takes off

I'll get both. Just get what you want more. We know halo is going to be on the NeXbox but we dont know what other games they are making. We dont know any games so far about ps4.

I love the Xbox Controller, I think it's the most well designed controller of all time followed by the SNES. There is no chance of Sony changing it's controller design so I would advise you to try your hardest to adept.

Only if this gen the exclusives actually appeal to me for once. Most of the Multiplats I want come to PC anyways.

I honestly think they will change the controller, its been the same for 17 years now, its time for a better controller.

The dual shock is a solid design so why fix whats not broken and it has also become very iconic with the Playstation brand so I cant see Sony changing it much. I will be staying with Playstation next gen as this gen I switched from Microsoft to Sony after 3 failing consoles then Microsoft failing to repair my last one. The specs for both consoles next gen I think will be very close so im not going to decide by that, Instead im going to choose by the quality of exclusives and this gen Sony are doing everything right in regards to that.

I have many friens who were hardcore sony fans, they always comment on how much better the 360 controller is then the ps3 controller, even nintendo has copied the 360 controller with the pro controller.

Specs won't matter all that much. It's not like multi-platforms won't be made to work on the lesser of the two, or perhaps even the lesser of the three. Developing for the lowest common denominator will mean better sales.

The controller thing is something that I cannot even come close to understanding. I've had fun with everything from the Atari joysticks to the horrible little NES blocks. On top of that, we live in a world with tons of third-party options. The games are what make me decide to buy a system.
