I thought TF2 was 100% free? The only thing you can buy are clothing and hats or whatever which are completely unnecessary since it's a FPS. |
and yet that makes bank, Which is why single item modelers make six figures.

It's weird, cause I have computer friends that are really loving it. They hated the idea, but once they actually started working on it, like it much better.
One even hated Windows 7, but likes Windows 8. So I don't really understand what Mr. Gabe is upset about, other than perhaps more competition with Xbox Games available in Windows 8?

I have an ultrabook still unboxed after 2 weeks, partly due to laziness but mostly just having a huge reflux of those painful memories of working with Windows. And the irony of having to go on Macs or iPads to browse MSFT site for fixes.

when was the last time you used windows? I haven't had any issues since they released xp.

That too but Gabe Newell has always shown displeasure when it comes to anything Microsoft. |
because he is only billionaire and not trillionaire because of microsoft
Messed with Win 7 quite a bit when building gaming pc, I liked Win 7, had it installed on SSD. But the initial hurdle of getting used to te interface made me wish it was XP. And manually disabling all the never used devices and processes from loading too was tedious. Vista I just never liked, never will. Overall, trying to be all things to all users means MsFT comes bloated with tons of stuff that most users just dn't need but must help pay for.
Win8 looks ..kinda ugly to my eyes. But I have yet to try it. I'm stuck with wanting to go to cmd prompt to do certain things faster in Windows or just wanting trouble free operation from an iPad. My Kindle Fire became an expensive alarm clock because the inexplicable window tabs reminded me too much of PC virus. So maybe it's just chronic fatigue with computer OSs in general since my Apple iP IIe days.

CMD prompt or using ipad eh? I think if CMD prompt, iPad and Windows 7 had a baby...it would be windows 8 and the way I use it. When used properly, Windows 8 has lots of keyboard text entry for searching and launching programs.
