Luke Plunkett is one of those game journalists that gives the trade a bad name.
Sic 'im, Kamiya-san.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
I read the article, personally I didn't think it was offensive. I think there were some reasonable conjectures made. The only thing that was antagonistic was the title, and Kotaku changed that.
But Hideki Kamiya represents Platinum Games and an elite calibre of Japanese developers. He really needs to keep his cool with things like this.
The article itself was in my opinion an insightful read, of course it was an opinion with assumptions, but thats nothing to get upset about.
Kamiya has a point here. I wish he would be less vulgar about it though.

Kamiya made a complete fool out of himself. You can be sure we're going to get apologies on his behalf sooner or later. I can't tell the difference between him and a typical forum poster.
Hey, I would be pretty unhappy too if someone took a few things I said on Twitter and used them as a way to generalize a large group of people.

I used to look at Kotaku when I first started reading up gaming news, didn't read TOO much from them. However, I stopped going there after I saw a comment (before the Wii U had a release date and price, etc.) from Kotaku saying that since they're "journalists" or w/e they got the inside-scoop and said "Wii U is on par or less powerful than PS360 confirmed" (well, I'm paraphrasing). I saw someone say that the Wii U is actually more powerful than the PS3 and 360 and Kotaku person said that they know better and in an arrogant and rude manner told the guy off.
