You disappoint me Conegamer! I thought you were above this console war nonsense!

This thread was made back in, what, July? That's 6 months ago! A lot has happened since then. I'm still in the same position on this site, but I'm definitely a lot less biased (less so even than I was before), to the point of really just enjoying playing videogames. This was made before that!

In addition, looks like Vita probably just won if we include digital for both. Not sure how much of an achievement that is. But it's a little victory for the system and I guess we can take comfort in that.

⇒Sept Best Digital Sales

I just want to point out that this isn't how Famitsu digital sales work.

They release a top 30 games for the month of retail + digital sales

Say the #30 game in the chart sold 30k physical copies and 1k digital copies.  There could be a game which didn't show up on the chart which sold 15k physical copies and 15k digital copies, but that wouldn't be enough to chart because the cutoff point was 31k.

Pretty much this. Don't forget a good few Vita games don't have their sales tracked either, namely in Europe, and it's hard to say how many download copies were sold.

If O had to guess Vita SW for last year,  I'd say around...14 mil. That makes it a clear winner in this scenario, but maybe not inthe grand scheme of things. Still, you have to start somewhere I suppose!

Can it do it?

Regarding retail numbers I guess Pokemon can outsell the 2013 Vita library but not if we include digital sales as nearly half (48%) of Vita games are sold digitally.

The real question is. How many games are more fun than Pokemon. Just about all of them.

Crappy games sell well all the time.  Final Fantasy 13 for example.  There's a lot of suckers out there.

Wow, how negative. Have you played X or Y perchance? A lot of people, including myself, love the series and it's totally unfair to call it crappy. It was a massive step forward for the series and a return to form, which is why it was celebrated. Much of the fun comes from post game, where you train up the best team to battle online (something which has an amazing amount of depth).

Personally, FPS' don't do it for me but I'm not going to call them bad games. And saying that almost every Vita game is better is a massive overreaction, coming from a big Vita fan myself.

Read this post.  Specifically the second and third paragraph.

A shame we cannot answer that question since we don't have Vita sales data :/

doesn't matter that much and we do have digital sales posted by kresnick for Sept-Dec. Vita sales dont add that much more, maybe another 1mil at best.

pokemon XY over 11mil by end of 2013

You have to excuse me but I would use your numbers as facts or even approximation of facts.

there is proof though, vita games do sell well digitally but we got digital numbers in thankz to famitsu, we even kno Pokemon XY digital sales from it!

But we don't know Vita digital numbers.

yes we do for the months of Sept-Dec. Famitsu provided them

You're confusing download cards with actual digital downlods. Only Sony knows the digital download figures.

im not confusing the 2. They are seperate, famitsu has #s for digital sales now that they do once a month, your confused about not knowing about it.

Dang you're still butthurt over this? Just accept the fact that people buy games based not on what you think quality is, but simply by how fun they are, and move on already!

I always knew for a 'fact' that wii U games were not fun because many people dont buy them. Thanks for backing me up with this 'fact'.

lol I'm not backing up your narrow minded view! Things aren't either fun or not fun period. Fun is completely subjective, as just because A person finds X game fun, doesn't mean B person will like it also. If lot's of people buy X game, it just means lot's of people find X game fun.
