A few places also had some good New Years sales for the Vita in limited quantities. I saw one major chain electronics store had a 3G Vita (still a launch unit!), Hot Shots Golf 6, 4gb memory card and a screen protector for 20,000 yen. Sony did actually release a starter pack with a 3G vita, HSG6 and a 4gb memory card, but it retails for almost 30,000 yen, so that was a big sale.

Not as good, but they had another one as wel; buy a 3G vita, any vita game, and any size memory card and get 8,000 yen off.

i was considering one myself, but I bought a new psp just last month so my 3ds/360/psp combination are keeping me too busy as it is.

Looking at things with release dates (I tend to use gamefaqs for this, lol), there's nothing coming to Wii U anytime soon except for a Fist of the North Star port and I doubt that'll do too much considering the drop from the 1st to 2nd game.

Yeah, I was on N4G, saw the Vita deals article and figured: "Ah, what the hell, maybe i'll find something worth picking up."

what are we expecting for home consoles in japan these days,i'm sure the gamepad will be pretty good for some games in the future but we'll have to wait what they hit on for success,it must have some great co-op opportunities for RPG's,Puzzles and sports games the gamepad
