By the way, the statue in the castle moat pic looks like a knight standing with a Golurk and a Palpitoad. Also note the dratini/dragonair gargoyles on the castle.

Pikachu was standing on the Eiffel Tower at the start of the trailer. I think it's safe to assume this new region will be based on Paris.

Looks like I'll be getting my 3DS XL around that time :)

 

Gonna try to get at least 3 games before the end of 2013 for my future 3DS and it will be

-Pokemon Y
-Super Mario 3D Land
-Kingdom Hearts 3D


Anyways, looks like I'll be getting Pokemon Y - Love Fowl legendaries and fire types ;p.

I dont like the water and plant starters, gonna go with the fire one especially the design love it!

And get pokemon mystery dungeon gates of infinity while you're at it.

That fire type looks a lot like zorua, but except the fact that its fire type rather than dark lol. Still looks epic. The grass type with the hoodie looks gangsta level epic though,

Do I need to play the other ones? I only mainly played all of the games from the mainline series (and the stadium ones on N64).

If you want an infinitely better story then you need to play pokemon mystery dungeon. They will truly touch you believe me.

Mystery dungeon games have stories that the mainline games wish they had. Plus the gameplay is different and fun.

Man the battles look like pokemon stadium worked into a handheld game, actually well looking fowards to this, also the Grass pokemon started looks like it's wearing the Hat the girl from Bobs burgers wears :D awesome.

Explorers of Darkness is my favorite Pokémon game and I can't wait for the new one, even though it will be more limited.

Reason to believe that but Mienfoo and Mienshao are both fighting foxes (or they at elast look like foxes). Matsuda hinted that the series is about "evolution," and X and Y are about chromosones, making it about DNA. I have a feeling the special edition will be Z or something (lol), or something similar that could stand for DNA. I also feel that the Legendaries are going to be male and female respectively.

Fennekin: Fennec (fox) and kindle
Froakie: frog and croak
Chespin: chesnut and pin. It may also be from chinkapin, the name of some species of chestnut.

I really want the Fennec fox because I love foxes. I'm eager to see their evolutions, too!

Oh, and this is the death-nail to Vita and its sales

The battle system isn't broken so they don't need to change it. If they did it in the way you describe, it wouldn't really be a main Pokemon game. It would be better suited as an MMO on a console. They don't need to mess with the formula of the main series.
