I made one of these threads about a year and a half ago and bumping it would just cause a cluttered mess.

So, a lot of you have very nice avatars, drawn from a range of media, and it would be nice if you could briefly describe what is in your avatar, and why you chose it.

As of 5th January 2013, my avatar is Balerion, Aegon the Conqueror's dragon from A Song of Ice and Fire. I chose it because dragons are awesome, and Balerion is widely acknowledged to be the greatest dragon ever to live (edit: in Westeros, thanks gergroy), and because ASOIAF has quickly become one of my favourite novel series of all time.

SEGA Saturn's Shining the Holy Ark which was probably the game that cemented my passion for videogaming. It floored me completely when I first watched a gameplay video on a TV show about games. Needless to say I bought it when it came out and played it for an inordinate amount of time. It's one of my all time favourite experiences.

I chose this avatar because I am loving Apollo Justice. I never thought it would be good, because of the negative response it has gotten. This avatar was selected during January 1st.
