Is there any foundation for saying this. Like, at all?

I think so. There is hardly any compelling software for the WiiU released or announced. I don't think Nintendo communicated with third party publishers very well, as it seems very few publishers have any real games ready. Nintendo releases another New Super Mario Bros and the shaky Nintendoland, but doesn't have any hard hitters ready for the next year it seems. Even TVii isn't ready.
To me, the WiiU feels incredibly rushed without any real thought behind it. How many PS3/360 games releasing in 2013 are coming to WiiU as well? Very few.

Real games??? WiiU had better launch games than Wii, PS3, or 360, with multiple AAA games and the (not shaky) Nintendo Land, which is a ton of fun, especially when you do 5-player multiplayer. Arkham City: Armored Edition is great for those of us who didn't play it on the HD twins, then you have BLOPS2, AC3, Mass Effect 3, Darksiders 2, Madden 13, FIFA, NBA, Ninja Gaiden 3 (a huge improvement over the original), Tekken, ZombiU, NSMBU, Scribblenauts, Sonic Racing (not an AAA game, but fun), and some good games on the eshop channel, and TVii IS up and working, and works great.
Upcoming great games will be Lego City, Pikmin 3, Aliens, Wonderful 101, Sniper Elite (hopefully it's cool), Injustice: Gods Among Us, Aliens, Bayonetta 2, Rayman. Combine that with whatever gets announced at E3 and Nintendo's flagship titles that will eventually be announced, and it's going to be awesome.
This is a brand new system without much userbase, so keep things in perspective. Also, you're clearly just trolling here.
