I'd have though 8m sold at near full price in a few months was far better than bundling, new editions and buidget price editions over 2 or 3 years... but thats just me and my logical business like brain for you.

I just bought Halo 4 for half price...

But you never know, it could sell -2m copies over the 12 months and 6m sales is probably only enough to make it very profitable, not stupidly profitable

I never said anything about success. This is comparing sales of the 2 games, not the success. GT5 has sold extremely well over the course of 2011 and 2012. Its had tremendous legs, even when using VGChartz vastly undertracked numbers.

Im curious if Halo 4 can match GT5 for legs despite opening with far greater numbers.

You didnt address the 3 points that make your parody make less sense then mine lol

Well if you say for this generation only, Forza actually won...unless you count the PSP game but thats not on PS3, either way my grand point is that Forza is taking the crown for 2011 and 2012, making it the most relevant sim franchise in the last 2 years, taking advantage of GT5s slow release schedule. Its capitalizing on the competitions slow release schedule and seizing control with numbers.

In the end, my sig tries to convey that even a god can bleed. In regards to the OP, GTs best days are behind it.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Does it look like Im celebrating?  No, I was simply explaining to you what his sig meant.  His makes sense, yours does not.  If you compare time frames with Forza vs GT once again they sell very similar.  You compare Killzone next to Halo and halo dominates.  Stop quoting me now.  I explained why yours makes no sense and what his meant.  If you want me to say GT5 is bigger than Forza then I will say yes it is. Is that what you want to hear?

Hate it all you want but Forza Horizon is already a success it has sold 1.01 million copies on a console that sold 73.8 million units.  Compare that to Polyphony Digitals attempt at a spin off franchise Tourist Trophy which only sold 0.68 million copies on a cosole that sold over 155 million units.

Fell short of expectations? It's the best selling gran turismo ever in Europe and its probably going to sell 11million in its lifetime. What were your expectations!?

Halo 4 is now the fastest selling FPS ever not called COD.  How on earth is that average for an FPS?  In fact please tell me how many FPS sell 7 million in their LIFETIME on one console besides Call of Duty.

If you want to judge how good Halo 4 is selling you should put it against the best in the business, which is an fps.

Consider GT5 in an era when a multiplat racer sells tons of millions each year!
