It is clear that Gran Turismo is being shipped in high amounts and it has yet to sell through it's last shipment which is why we haven't seen another shipment.  If they were rare to find this would be a different story but you can go anywhere and buy GT5 which means it hasn't sold through it's shipment of 9.19m.

I don't think you know how shipping works.

Bananaking and carl pretty much said everything else i would add to this thread except - GT has always had legs and is a franchise known for its legs.

Off topic - people said 360 fans were severly unrepresented here... one read through in this thread and I can say thats just not true. I don't know why people still continue thinking that

All the 360 fans on this site is almost all accounted for in this thread. And still they are out numbered by Sony fans in this thread without the big names jumping in yet.

I don't want to derail this thread, though im not sure you can derail a thread without a point, I will simply say you are clearly wrong . Four off the top of my head would be starcraft, noobie, mrbubbles, and rocketpig haven't joined in. Also if the likes of selnor didn't request a ban he'd be here. Let's include stickball, mistershine, darc requiem, smbu2000, zappykins, warmachine, toastyboy, segajon, stan85, goddbless, again... off the top of my head from people i remember a while back when i posted on this site regularly... but keep playing that victim cardand I leave it at that

MS fans again posting a pointless thread. Get a life people. Both are great games.

What a pointless thread. While Halo games always sell great for awhile eventually they come to a stop unlike the GT series which sells and sells. It's also a really big deal that the 360 has so few exclusives so it's no surprise that Halo and Gears sell so much because it's slim pickings. While on PS3 there is an absurd amount of exclusives. If the PS3 only had a few exclusives released in the past few years like xbox I would bet you money that GT5 would be far ahead of Halo 4, that's not the situation though.

Either way, both games have sold amazingly well and both well reach 10M and maybe more. Despite the 360 having so few exclusives which maximize sells at the same time where there is so many FPS games and Halo has to compete with the top dog in Call of Duty, it's remarkable that Halo 4 has cemented it's position as the 3rd biggest shooter franchise behind COD and Battlefield. On the other side of the fence, while GT5 has MANY exclusives to compete with on PS3, it has virtually no other racing series that even comes close to challenging it.

That's being unbiased. Try it sometime.

Funny you say this is unbiased because you are only like the 20th person to come in here and downplay Halo 4.  In fact saying 360 has slim pickings is amusing as well seeing as the 360 outsells PS3 in software in total sells by what I think 100m? Yes you were completely unbias though and both took jabs at Halo and X360 in the same post.

Why is everybody saying halo is front loaded and not a long legged title? Sure halo has great openings, but it has legs as well. Halo games dont stop selling people!

I guess you haven't seen my sig. Take a look.

gt5 was 9.3 million as of september

should be over 10 million by now, it was bundled in europe

let's wait for the next PD shipment data

I believe Sales2099 is showing that IP sells in the same time frame are closer than what people think.  Yours on the hand is rather amusing.  Let me use an example, and I'll even use Sales2099's example.

Halo has sold 38.59m copies since 2007
Killzone has sold 5.29m since 2009

Doesn't that seem a little lopsided?

Your sig would be like comparing gt5 prologue to a forza game.  Not a good comparison.  So how did halo reach sell this year?

Thats assuming gamers only buy exclusives. PS3 gamers now factually prefer multiplats to their own exclusives.

Think he means full Halo titles. Your listing a expansion. Why dont you make your sig a little more logical and find out Halo Reachs 2012 sales?

Jaywoods post also sums up my thoughts nicely.
