If you talking about money you cant forget all the money microsoft lost with RROD.

And this gen will give a lot of money still. WiIHD shows us the current tech still has legs for nintendo to continue with similar specs on its next gen console.

there was report that 360 turned very profitable, although they still havent recovered losses from the orginal xbox

It's pretty funny how some people are dealing with this, personally I don't care because this generation has been very different for everyone. But the way some of you argue about this is laughable, no offence.

Nintendo made more profit With GameCube than Sony with the PS2 last generation. GameCube won that gen.

By the time Sony profited on each PS2 sold the new consoles were releasing so anything after is irrelevant.

 its a combination of profit and sales, i'm done with this thread, nextgen is coming and were arguing about something pointless,   i'm going with the system that has better specs nextgen.

From what I've read in this thread none of that mattered since the console began profiting around the time 360 launched.

your talking about hardware only, then yes but its very different with ps3, if you combine all the sales of games and hardware, ps3 lost billions, unlike ps2 where it was taking a loss for the harware it was making it back with games, ps2 made billions and billions of dollars of profit.

If we take these kind of factors into consideration as well, then we should also consider how much money Sony lost from the hacking debacle. Though I believe the RROD thing caused more money lost than the PSN-hacking, I don't think that the difference makes up the gap between MS and Sony.
