srry op but as a long time Nintendo fan, i don't think Mario is overrated. it's always different somehow. the feel is never the same, although i do get tired of seeing his name and face.
everything Halo, COD, GTA4, Kinect games, and Skyrim.

2D Mario games. They bored me to tears even when I was a Nintendo fankid. Jump, jump, hit this thing with your head a bunch of times, jump, miss a jump so do it over. Ugh. Argh. No story, no immersion, no interesting characters, no soul. Endless, mind-numbing repetition. I'm still of the opinion that so many people only love Mario because they've been conditioned by the early games being included with the system. I tried so many times to play Mario (I own 3 or 4) but I always quit after a few levels and popped in NBA Jam or Double Dragon or something else instead. However, the Yoshi levels were a lot more fun.
Gran Theft Auto is also on my list. Really boring games that I could never connect with. I just couldn't care about what I was doing or was supposed to be doing.
Gears of War. Well, third-person cover shooters in general, but Gears takes the cake. The art-style makes me uncomfortable, as well, like I'm going to start calling people "Bro" at the drop of a hat.
Little Big Planet. See Mario above. It has more charm than Mario but it's still just a lot of jumping. Now, honestly, I've always wanted to try the player made levels but I haven't been able to get through the campaign on either LBP 1 or 2.

it's not the score that makes it over rated. it's the sales and word of mouth. COD:blops is the only cod i'd give a 7 along with the first modern warefare.
The recent call of duty games (the console ones not the portable ones)
people saying skyrim probably didn't play it on pc, I spent probably 50+hours just testing mods on skyrim
OT: anything with mario in it except super smash

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
Sorry to repeat a vast majority of posters but COD is vastly overrated. Campaign modes that can be mostly completed in no time whatsoever, and i just dont get the whole online online thing with people swearing and squealing at each other over their headsets. Online gaming is supposed to be fun not stressful..give me online Mario Kart anyday.
skyrim-buggy and boring and miles behind the great fallout3 in any way
halo(single player, good but far away from being great)-in europe the rating is alright somehow but the us rating is a joke and a great example of how corrupt the gaming media is,but buying raters is the cheapest way to create a hype
mario 2d-well the wii u version is not overrated(metacritic 84/81.that's alright)but the versions before are overrated.part 3 /yoshis island great but since then just copy and paste.same music, same enemies, same story, boring no skill boss fights
mgs2-playing with raiden was such a pain -a 65%game

Was going to say Skyrim but the mods make it an incredible game!!
