Can't say I agree or disagree with the author but I have noticed the WiiU was in stock( they had a pile of 30 consoles or so) at my local Best Buy the friday before Chrismas and I checked Amazon twice in the last week and the WiiU was in stock there ( but stock was low on Amazon).

PS : I lol at those people that grabeed WIiU hoping to resell them for massive profits on e-bay as that ain't happening this year...

WiiU in stock doesn't necessary mean bad sales by the way.
What it means is that Nintendo fixed their supply/production chain.
With the 720 and the PS4 coming soon they could not really afford to have supplies issues as the situation isn't the same as 6 years ago. Their goal is to take fully advantage of the one year early start....

The question is whether they have convinced customers that this is the start of the new gen and I think this is where they mostly failed...

Didn't the OP say that Best Buy completely sold out of Wonder Book, PSASB, LBP Karting and Jak and Dax collection? Best Buy is a BIG retailer and if they are sold out doesn't that mean its big number? He only mention that these games were sold out but nothing else sold out. I misread the Vita and 3ds though.

PS ALL STARS WAS SOLD OUT ACROSS ALL BEST BUYS AROUND ALL OF MIAMI DADE COUNTY/SOUTH BROWARD meaning most of the major areas in South Florida

I knew PS All Stars was undertracked, I doubt it just exploded in one week.

Probably has hit the million mark with Vita sales.
