Online mainly.  Normally just check who is cheaper and order from there unless some crap small site.

I almost never buy from retail apart from the odd bargin bin opportunistic purchase.

Hardware I'll also get online.  Basically I just can't be bothered shopping and online is almost always cheaper.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Diffrent stores, but everything but midnight launches (which is only wow for me really and i don't even play that game anymore) is bought online. Consoles i buy offline too, usually in store offers on media markt or other electronic stores. Never at gamestop or game.

amazon only

Now that I think about it, all the current gen consoles I have bought in stores at EB Games. My PS3, Wii, DS and PSP.

Now Game wise, it all depends on what edition I'm getting.

If I'm planning to get a Collector's Edition of a Game, I either buy from EB Games or JB Hifi depending on who has the cheaper price along with who gets the better CE because sometimes each retailer gets a different CE.

So for example I bought the Uncharted 2 CE at JB Hifi last year because A) It was cheaper than EB and B) It had a better CE than EB.

It also differs between the Pre Order Incentives.

For example EB was offering a 2010 Calender if you pre ordered FF XIII and JB offered 3 Lithographs if you pre ordered from them and I chose EB Games since the FF XIII CE prices were the same between them but the EB Games Pre Order stuff was the much better option.

Now if it's a regular edition of a game, I also look into Target, Big W, Kmart, etc because they occassionally have the lower prices and if I don't plan to get the game day 1 or Week 1, those retailers sell the games for cheaper after Week 1 than JB and EB.
