I always buy my games and sytems from the most convenient source at the time. For instance, the Wii was sold out everywhere I went last week, so i wound up buying one brand new from a family on Craig's List that simply had one and did not want it. I buy games from Gamestop primarily because they have a better selection (they stock games for a longer period, where as Best Buy and Wal-Mart rotate out for whatever is new and what ever is over stocked). I do try and support local game shops in my area though. I come from a small town (less than 80,000 people), so I have those kinds of values where I believe in mom and pop stores. Today I purchased Melty Blood Act Cadenza for my PC (it was $74 with shipping; the most expensive game I have personally purchased and the second most expensive game I have owned since X-Men vs. Street Fighter on the Sega Saturn) from Play-Asia because I could not find it on Amazon or any where else. I don't believe in sticking to one retailer. People should always seek out value.

Gen - local shop
Game Gear - local shop
Snes - Toys r us
PS1 - The Wiz(now best buy)
PS2 - The Wiz(now best buy)
Wii - Best buy
PSP - Gamestop
Games i buy off the net or walmart.

I got my GC and Genesis at Gamestop/Funcoland (back in the day) I got my N64 & Dreamcast at Toys R US. I got Mario 64 at Funcoland (for $100!) I got my DS at Walmart etc, etc. However, I've never bought anything from either Kmart or Sears that was videogame related. Never get game stuff from Target either. So my question to you - where do you buy all of your games? |
I'm always looking for a deal...b/c its just that imporant to me....
My PS3 from the pawn shop
Wii @ Gamestop

EB games 99% of the time
The other 1% is Future shop and a local store called Microplay
Lots of Target. Some Amazon and ebay. Play and Trade and Gamecrazy when they used to be open in my area.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
