Not much interested in both of them. I was really tired of both franchises after the third game. I was looking so much forward back then to GoW III and GoW III but they both did not fullfill what I hoped they would be..

Well, both God Of War 3 and Gears Of War 3 were incredible, with the former being an unearthly experience which was just simply the best in the series. How did they still manage to disappoint you?
Its because everybody knows Gears will sell more. No contest.
Finally Gears will earn the "GOW"

Thats the past. You strike me as someone who doesnt like change or doesnt embrace it. The present can always be changed.
2 spinoffs, releasing at the same time. Perfect setup. The more popular game deserves it.

Only the future can be changed/altered .

In the case of 'The Last Of Us', yes it is new, i agree with you. But what about games like GTA V and BioShock infinite? They are no doubt additions to already established franchises, like Ascension and Judgement are, and one of them is actually not a sequel. So tell me, why are people excited about them? What new innovation are they bringing to the table? |
BOTH of the games (God of War: Ascension and Gears of War: Judgement are prequels, with the (spoilers!) GOWA being about Kratos journey before defeating Ares, and GOWJ about the time period before Emergence Day.
And let me tell you one innovation: God of War's new multiplayer mode. That's new in the GOW series. What about GOWJ's combination of Team Deathmatchand Horde Mode? THOSE are new innovations that they are bringing to the table.
The Last of Us and GTAV are $60 worthy purchases for me. GoW and GeOWJ aren't honestly. I was disappointed with GoW3 (even though it wasn't bad) and GeOWJ isn't made by Epic so it's doomed to $20.

You have no way of knowing the future. I think GOWA is going to sell more since Sony has FINALLY started advertising, GOWA is in every GameStop, Amazon.com, eBay, PSBlog, PSHome, plus they are releasing trailers about GOWA on TMT, G4, and some other channels. I have seen ZERO Gears of War Judgement ads or trailers. You THINK it will sell more because you have nothing more to boast about.
Problem?

We shall see. MS typically only markets close to release anyways. Sony marketing during nonholiday months isnt anything special.
